Details & Info
The signage project for Parque Almourol — a territory that includes Vila Nova da Barquinha, Constância, and Arripiado — aimed to create and develop a system capable of guiding and informing visitors about the park’s features and points of interest, situated in an area of high natural and cultural value.
The solution was designed to blend harmoniously with both natural and urban environments, paying particular attention to durability and minimising maintenance costs. Based on these principles, a system was developed using a structure made from recycled plastic — a material that offers greater resistance and requires less maintenance. Its colour and texture, similar to wood, also help ensure effective integration into the landscape.
This was the first signage project in Portugal to use recycled plastic, establishing itself as a benchmark in terms of sustainability and design.
